Library group seeks book donations

Friends of the Richmond Hill Library
The group works to increase the programs and services of the library and enrich the cultural opportunities available to the citizens of Bryan County.
The organization  is responsible for:
• sponsoring special projects
• informing the public of library resources and services
• securing materials that are beyond the library’s budget
• performing other services

The Friends of the Richmond Hill Library, a nonprofit organization interested in good library services, is seeking used-book donations.
In past years, the group collected used books and sold them at an annual spring event to raise funds, which supplemented the library budget.
However, due to a lack of donations this year, the organization will not be able to offer its annual book-sale event.
But the group is still in need of used books, especially for young children, because a limited number of books are still sold at the library year-round
Residents can donate books by dropping them off at the designated bins in the library.
Membership is open to anyone interested in supporting the library.
Meetings are
held at 10 a.m. on the second Monday of each month (except in June, July and August) at the library. Dues are $10 for an individual membership and $20 for a family/business membership. Applications are available at the library desk.
