The Richmond Hill Garden Club will host its annual plant exchange from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the J.F. Gregory Park Pavilion.

Club members will share their extra plants with each other and the public.

Those attending are asked to bring plants, but those without plants are still welcome to come, meet members and learn about the garden club, trade advice about plants, and take home plants new to them. There are always extras to share.

All types of plants can be brought: vegetable seedlings, annuals, perennials, bulbs, landscape shrubs, trees and houseplants.

Watermelon seeds

The club will give watermelon seedlings to children at Tuesday’s Farmers Market at Gregory Park.

This club project is called "green thumb kids." It promotes children’s interest in gardening and healthy eating.

This is the third year the club has celebrated "green thumb kids."

The seedlings come with planting instructions.

The Richmond Hill Farmers Market is 2-7 p.m. every Tuesday through November in J.F. Gregory Park.
