Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of a Savior; he is Christ the Lord.
When he was prophesied about in the Old Testament, one of the ways he is described is as "The Prince of Peace". He makes peace between us and God the Father by becoming a mediator, making a way for the forgiveness of our sins, which separate us from God.
He also gives us peace in our hearts when he comes in to our lives.
This new relationship between us and God makes it possible for us to have peace with those around us.
In Matthew 5:9 it insinuates that the true children of God are peacemakers (Matthew 5:9: "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God")
In the middle of the hustle and bustle, at a time of year when we see frustration and tension, what a time for Christians to show that we can be at peace.
On the negative side, it can be a time when a person’s witness can be tarnished.
Let us use this opportunity that God has given us to let our lights shine brightly. If you don’t have the peace of God in your life, turn to Jesus and he will fill you with this peace.
