Today’s Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17(NIV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

Happy New Year! It’s a new year and a perfect time to develop a new attitude.

It’s time to let bygones, be bygones, to let old things pass away so that all things can become new. It has been said that you cannot keep doing the same thing and expect a different result. It’s time to let go, and let God!

New beginnings are wonderful. They give us opportunities to begin again with clean slates. Salvation represents newness of life. When we accept Christ Jesus, we are born again becoming a new creation, a being that has never existed never been before. As believers we should continue to grow in Christ, moving from level to level.

This year, as we are celebrating Christmas and New Year’s, the Jews are celebrating Hanukah, which is also called the festival of lights. The Menorah candles are lit to remember how a one day supply of oil burned for eight days during the rededication of their temple.

The Bible says that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. This a great time to rededicate our temples to God and move to the next level of faith.

I recently heard a great message on moving to your next level. The speaker said that the life you are living in is bigger than the level you are living on.

Moving to the next level means you may have to leave behind some of those dysfunctional friendships or relationships. They may have been a blessing then, but they may not be a blessing now.

The beginning of the year is a good time to seek the Lord because God wants to give you a revelation of where your life is headed. Remember that the plans that God has for you are far better than the plans you have for yourself. It was never God’s intention for you to only have what you have right now. Shalom.
