The ladies of the Ministries of Jesus Christ in Midway are excited about their first retreat.
The Warring Women of MOJC, under the leadership of Apostle Nick Law Hines, will conduct the two-day retreat Friday and Saturday at various locations.
According to church administrator/publicity chair missionary Darria Hines, plans are to make the retreat an annual event.
The theme for the retreat is, “Ministering to the Whole Woman: Body, Soul and Spirit.” Hines said the event will focus on the three Rs: rejuvenate, relax and refresh.
“With the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit, we have selected some anointed vessels of God to enrich and empower the lives of women all over,” retreat coordinator Evangelist Audrey Hines Walthour said.
On Friday, retreat activities will begin at 1 p.m. at the Hinesville Day Spa on Highway 196 West. After being pampered at the spa, the ladies will meet at the LaQuinta Hotel for a time of relaxation and fellowship.
At 4 p.m., Evangelist Juanita Johnson will give a special seminar on domestic violence/abuse.
After the seminar, the evening will culminate with dinner.
Saturday’s activities will be at Midway Middle School, 425 Edgewater Drive.
The morning sessions begin with prayer, followed by seminars by Daisy Kaskel from Body by Vi, Capote Quarterman on health and wellness and Dr. Diane Curry on money management.
Following lunch, the afternoon seminars will include presentations by evangelist Edith Anderson on singles ministry, evangelist Alexzine Goosby on ministry of marriage and prophetess Annie Ruth Chisholm on prayer warrior.
“This is our first retreat, and we are excited,” Hines said. “We are anticipating a time of refreshing and relaxation and have been busy planning for this retreat. We had to reschedule it, but we are looking forward to the fellowship with our sisters in Christ.”
