Dana Leigh Thomas, Jeffery Wayne Brown

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Earl Thomas of Eastman are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Dana Leigh Thomas, to Jeffery Wayne Brown, son of Mrs. Betty Sue Brown and the late W.D. Brown of Hawkinsville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Freddie Bennett and the late Leroy Bennett of Eastman and the late Virgil and Lula Mae Thomas of Milan.

Miss Thomas is an honor graduate of Dodge County High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in middle grades education, a master of education degree in counselor education, and an add-on in educational leadership from Georgia Southern University. Currently, she is obtaining an education specialist degree in educational leadership from Georgia Southern University. She is employed with the Dodge County Board of Education as a guidance counselor and after school coordinator at South Dodge Elementary in Eastman.

Miss Thomas is a former teacher at Bryan County High School.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Young and Mary Belle Rogers of Eastman and the late W.R. and Allie Mae Brown of Hawkinsville.

Mr. Brown is a graduate of Hawkinsville High School. He received a diploma in electronics technology from South Georgia Technical College. Presently, he is employed as an engineering technical assistant at Northrop Grumman in Warner Robins.

The wedding ceremony will be held on July 7, 2007 at 7 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church in Eastman. A reception will immediately follow. All family and friends are invited to attend.

Following a honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple will make their home in Midway.
