June wedding set for Hendrix, Morris

Mr. and Mrs. Rufus O. Hendrix, Jr. of Portal announce the engagement of their daughter, Joey Waters Hendrix of Statesboro, to Loyd Alexander Morris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Loyd A. Morris.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rex L. Waters of Pembroke and Betty Ray Hendrix of Statesboro and the late Rufus O. Hendrix. She is a 1994 graduate of Statesboro High School and a 2003 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education. She is currently employed as a teacher at Mill Creek Elementary School.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Williams of Statesboro and Jerona Morris of Statesboro and the late Glen Morris. He is a 1998 graduate of Statesboro High School and a 2006 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a bachelor of business administration degree in management. He is currently employed as an engineer at Bulloch Telephone Cooperative.

The couple has planned to wed on June 14, at 6 p.m. at the Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church. A reception will follow the ceremony at Snella’s Place.

No local invitations will be sent. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.

Deborah and Glynn Lovett of Swainsboro would like to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kaci Lyn Lovett, to James Christopher Carter of Swainsboro. James is the son of David and Lisa Walker of Stillmore, Ga., and Curtis and Gloria Carter of Ellabell.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bob Lovett, Linda Wilkerson and George Archer, all of Swainsboro.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late W.H. Carter and Joy Winter and the late Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Williamson.
The wedding will take place Saturday, Nov. 13, at 4:30 p.m. at the home of the bride’s sister, Heather Peebles, in Swainsboro.
No local invitations sent. Family and friends are invited to attend.
The couple will reside in Swainsboro.
