George and Cynthia Griffin of Richmond Hill are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Ashton Leann Griffin to Peter Francis Gibson III (Trey), son of Tim and Jamie Gibson of Richmond Hill.

The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Richmond Hill High School and is currently enrolled in Armstrong Atlantic State University Nursing program. She is currently a patient care technician at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital System and also a receptionist at Cedar Animal Hospital. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Alese Griffin of Jacksonville, Fla. and the late Mr. George C. Griffin of Savannah, Mrs. Erma Nelson of Hinesville, and the late Mr. Charles Nelson of Hinesville; and the great-granddaughter of Mr. Michael Salnikoff of Savannah.

The groom-elect is a 2004 graduate of Richmond Hill High School and is currently enrolled at Armstrong Atlantic State University. He is employed by Alltel Communications as a wireless consultant. He is the grandson of Mrs. Ann Gibson of Norway, S.C. and the late Mr. Peter F. Gibson, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Johnson Taylor of Savannah and the late Mr. James D. Bennett of Johnsonville, S.C.; and the great-grandson of Mrs. Ruby Scott of Savannah and Mrs. Ruth Bennett of Screven.

The wedding is planned for June 21 at 5 p.m. in the Richmond Hill United Methodist Church, with Rev. Dale Simmons officiating. The reception will follow at the Ford Plantation.
