Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church youth will have their annual barbecue and Boston butt sale Friday and Saturday.
Plates are $7; pulled pork is $7.50 a pound; and butts are $25.

Beasley/Newman event
The “Bowling for Beasleys” fundraising event will be from 2-5 p.m. Saturday at AMF Bowling Lanes in Savannah.
The cost is $10 a person for two hours of bowling and includes shoe rental. There will be raffles throughout the event as well.
The event will benefit the Beasley/Newman family who lost two young sons and their Ellabell home in a fire in November.

Tax office closed
The Bryan County Tax Commissioner’s offices in Pembroke and Richmond Hill will be closed Feb. 6 for staff training on Georgia’s new title ad valorem tax.

Rotary dinner
The Rotary Club of Richmond Hill will have its annual dinner at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Richmond Hill City Center in J.F. Gregory Park.
The Beatles tribute band “Britishmania” will highlight a Beatles-themed fundraiser. A buffet will be served at 7 p.m. with a cash bar available. Silent and live auctions will also take place throughout the evening with special Beatles-themed items and many other wonderful donations available for bids.
Tickets are $60 per person and include dinner, entertainment and dancing. Sponsorship packages are also available. Tickets can be purchased by calling Larry Barker at 756-5942, emailing larrybarker@coastalnow.net or by going to the Barker & Associates office at 31 Constitution Way or the Richmond Hill/Bryan County Chamber of Commerce office at 2591 Highway 17.

History lecture
Historian and documentary filmmaker Michael Jordan will showcase his latest film on Savannah and the Civil War at 7 p.m. Feb. 7 at the Richmond Hill Museum.
There will be a question-and-answer period at the end of his presentation.
The event, which is part of the Richmond Hill Historical Society’s lecture series, is free to the general public. Call 756-3697 for more information and directions.

Tutors needed
The Adult Community and Education program at Royce Learning Center in Savannah is seeking volunteer tutors to assist adult learners with GED prep and literacy needs. 
Classes are 5-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9-11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Royce Learning Center and at Wesley Community Center. Tutor training is offered for free.
