Richmond Hill city officials recently announced Georgia Cities Week will be celebrated April 20–27.
Georgia Cities Week is an annual celebration sponsored by the Georgia Municipal Association. One of the activities this year is curbside pick-up of large items not normally picked up by the city. The pick-up will take place April 22, 24 and 26.
Here is the large-item pick-up schedule:
• April 22 — Mulberry, Richmond Place, Blueberry, Camellia Street, Rosemont Street, Carter Street, Rushing Street, Forest Street, Clark Street, Live Oak, White Oak and Ponderosa

• April 26 — Turtle Hill, Melrose, Porter Road, Cherokee, Bottoms, Parkside, Richmond Hill Plantation and Richmond Heights
This pick-up is available only for Richmond Hill current water-account users in residential zoning areas. The following items will not be collected: tires, hazardous waste items, paint, refrigerators, freezers, oil or oil based products, grease products, batteries, gas or gas based products, lawnmowers, Freon or Freon-based products. Yard waste will be picked up on the regular scheduled days.
