The Richmond Hill City Center teemed with activity Saturday at the Elegance in the Park bridal show, the facility’s first bridal event since opening in February.
Twenty-five vendors set up a variety of exhibits and demonstrations, including ballroom dancing, photography, sample dresses, wedding doves and much more.
Executive Chef Kermit Griffin and his culinary team prepared a sampling of the catering packagers available for wedding receptions or other special events.
“My team and I prepare all of the food on site. We offer a variety of choices and different packages for all types of events,” Griffin said.
Savannah resident Jung Cannady, a first-time visitor to the center, is in the midst of planning her own springtime wedding in April.
“The center is in a beautiful location,” she said. “This is the second bridal show I’ve attended this year, and this one seemed much more personal. I really liked that most of the vendors are from this area.”
More than 200 guests attended the event, and based on its success, the facility’s general manager Steve Brennan said he expects to sponsor more bridal shows in the future.
“We really had a wonderful turnout,” he said. “This was our first major outreach to brides to demonstrate what the Richmond Hill City Center can offer them,” he said.
Proceeds of the event will go to support Operation Homefront of Georgia. The primary mission of Operation Homefront is to provide emergency financial assistance to military families and to wounded soldiers when they return home.
