Bat education program at park

“Let’s Get Batty,” a bat-education program, will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Fort McAllister State Historic Park, 3984 Fort McAllister Road in Richmond Hill.

Attendees will get to watch hundreds of bats emerge from their houses to begin hunting for insects. Those participating should wear comfortable shoes for walking and bring insect repellent and a flashlight. The tour will begin promptly at 7 p.m.; no one will be allowed to join the group after it departs.

Admission is $4 per person; children younger than 4 years old are admitted free.
