The Pembroke Public Library has been busy with its summer reading program.
The library had 148 children signed up to read, and eight were picked as top readers for the summer: Trinity Curry, Will Summerford, Ransom Cribbs, Levi Sapp, Wesley Padgett, Hailey Miles and Dawson Zeigler.
These eight children, with ages ranging from 2-13 years old, read a total of 420 books.
The library thanks the Friends of the Library group and Conoochee Electric for helping makes the program and prizes for the children possible.
