Richmond Hill High School Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets and members of Boy Scout Troop 486 retired an old American flag in a a flag-burning ceremony Oct. 12 at Wildcat Field before the Richmond Hill Middle School homecoming pep rally. The cadets and scouts 486 burned the flag that had been long housed in the RHMS gym after retiring it and replacing it with a flag that has flown over the U.S. Capitol. The RHMS eighth-grade student council secured the new flag and organized the ceremony.
