RHHS grad presented with $3,000 scholarship

Avery Waters, who recently graduated from Richmond Hill High School, is a recipient of a $3,000 Crawford Johnson III and Walker Johnson Jones college scholarship.

The Crawford Johnson III and Walker Johnson Jones Scholarship programs were established to provide scholarships to eligible children and grandchildren of the employees of Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED Inc. who are pursuing undergraduate degrees at recognized educational institutions. Savannah Coca-Cola is a Division of Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED.

"Coca-Cola Bottling Company United has been a family-focused company for more than 115 years,” said Walker Jones, Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED board member. “I am so pleased that we are able to provide college scholarships to the children and grandchildren of our company employees.”

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic performance and leadership ability as evidenced by extra-curricular activities.
