In celebration of the Earth Day 2015, Lisa Tuttle’s third-grade class at Richmond Hill Elementary recently participated in a “Resource Rally Roundup.”
Miss Tember, aka September Cardiff of Tember’s Tales Productions, educated the students with a performance that taught the class about the three Rs: reduce, reuse and recycle. During the show, students were introduced to a bag full of educational tricks that helped them understand the roles they play in the recycling process. Students interacted with a puppet, magically made a dirty sock turn clean, produced flowers from the seeds of their imagination, grew a 6-foot-tall paper tree, saw a quarter disappear down the drain and sang songs that reinforced their knowledge.
September has been presenting motivational performances to schools, libraries and churches all over the Southeast for more than 17 years. She offers shows on reading, friendship, bullying, leadership and character development.
