ALBANY, Ga. — Darton State College announced that Bryanna Moodie of Richmond Hill was recently awarded the Dean Scholar Award for the 2014-15 academic year.  
The Dean Scholar Award is a scholarship that covers the total cost of in-state tuition and fees for fall and spring semesters.
The scholarship is awarded to incoming freshman that have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and have shown evidence of community and school involvement.
Fifty-two students from Georgia, Alabama and Florida were awarded either the Dean Scholar Award or the Merit Scholar Award.
The Dean and Merit Scholarship are funded through the Darton State College Foundation.
Darton State College, a public institution, is part of the University System of Georgia and accredited.
