Coastal Pines Technical College recently announced that it has been designated a 2015 Military Friendly School by Victory Media.
Victory Media is an entity for military personnel transitioning into civilian life.
Now in its sixth year, the Military Friendly Schools designation is awarded to the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools in the country that are doing the most to embrace military students and dedicate resources to ensure their success in the classroom and after graduation.
“We are proud of the men and women who honorably serve our country in the military, and we are proud to be recognized as a military friendly school,” Coastal Pines Technical College President Dr. Glenn Deibert said. “This recognition will help veterans and active military in our communities easily reach out to our college and enroll in a program to help them advance in today’s economy.”
The survey captures over 50 leading practices in supporting military students and is available free of charge to the more than 8,000 schools approved for post-9/11 GI Bill funding.
Coastal Pines Technical College, a unit of the Technical College System of Georgia, serves Long, Appling, Bacon, Brantley, Camden, Charlton, Clinch, Glynn, Jeff Davis, McIntosh, Pierce, Ware and Wayne counties. For more information, go online to www.coastalpines.edu.
