Armstrong sets Military Family Day

Armstrong State University’s College of Education will host Military Family Day, an on-campus event for K-8 children whose parents are based at Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield. The event will feature free lunch, a variety of kid-friendly activities and educational sessions for parents. This event is free and open to the public.
 It takes place from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. April 18, at the Armstrong Sports Center, 11935 Abercorn St. in Savannah.
Children’s activities at Military Family Day include interactive technology, fun with chemistry, physical fitness with Armstrong instructors and student mentors, and photographs with Armstrong mascot Captain George.

Register by Saturday to be eligible for a door-prize drawing. On-site registration is welcomed. For additional information, call 912-344-3187. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
