Wildcats roll 41-13 in scrimmage

Richmond Hill outscored Johnson 41-13 in a scrimmage Friday night at home.

The Wildcats, from Region 2-AAAAAA, led the Atomsmashers 38-0 at halftime. Johnson is a Class AAA program.

Richmond Hill’s leading rushers were Jalen Rouse, who had four carries for 131 yards and two touchdowns and Jamari Green, who ran eight times for 50 yards and two touchdowns.

Richmond Hill quarterback Aaron Bedgood connected on 3 of 7 passes for 93 yards and a touchdown; Luke Carter completed 2 of 3 passes for 38 yards.

The Wildcats’ leading receiver was Kollins Pettaway, who had three catches for 93 yards and one TD.

Defensively, Nathan Vickers had five tackles, including two for losses, and John Mastorilli picked off a pass for the Wildcats.

Special teams leaders included Anthony Salazar, who was 5 for 5 on extra points and kicked a 25-yard field  goal; and Britton Williams, who kicked a 47-yard field goal.

The Wildcats led Johnson 38-0 at halftime.

The Wildcats open regular season play at Grovetown on Aug. 17. The Warriors compete in Region 3-AAAAAA.
