Wildcats give Camden a scare

Richmond Hill High School gave perennial state Class AAAAAAA power Camden County a scare  Friday before falling 24-20 in Kingsland.

Richmond Hill (1-1) led 13-7 at halftime.

The Wildcat’s Kenyan Hunter was named the Plantation Lumber & Hardware player of the game. Hunter had four tackles, four passes defended, an interception, 38 yards rushing and a touchdown.

When the Wildcats opened the season Monday night against Glynn County, they were making their debut in a new state-of-the-art stadium that rivals any facility in the state other than perhaps Buford’s new $62 million playpen.
