Wildcats baseball: Weekly round-up (Mar. 6)
Contributor Allen Cox gives us the latest on Richmond Hill's high school baseball team.

Tuesday, 3/5, vs South Effingham: The Wildcats defeated the Mustangs tonight 5-1, at home.  Lefty Bryce Hendricks earned the win after pitching five strong innings, giving up only one hit and one run, and striking out six.  Righty Noah Stone finished the last two innings without allowing a run, striking out two, and not allowing a base on balls.  Sophomore, third-baseman, Grant Wagner, drove in two runs with a hit and a sacrifice fly.  Jared Montelbano, Connor Gilkey, Eli Howard, and Noah Stone each had a hit for the 5-4 Wildcats.  Friday we travel to Guyton to play a doubleheader with the 6-4 Mustangs.  First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.



Next week, Tuesday 3/12: The region schedule begins! We are at the defending 7A GHSA 2023 state champions, Lowndes County High School onTuesday, 6 p.m. first pitch.  


And on Friday, 3/15, the Vikings of Lowndes come to town for a doubleheader–first pitch 4:30 p.m.  You will not want to miss this!
