The Cats rode the big arm of Bryce Hendricks tonight and won game one of an important three-game region series, by a score of 5-4.
The senior lefty pitched a complete seven-inning, 114-pitch gut check tonight, striking out 10, on eight hits. Camden County went with lefty, Will Johnson, who gave up seven hits, struck out five, and only allowed two earned runs. Alex Harwood and Jaxson Wagner each had an RBI to go with their one-hit. Victor Villella led all Wildcat hitters with two hits, and lead-off hitter Lee Johnson scored twice. Camden County was led by Caden Napier's three hits and Talon Daignault's home-run and double.
The Wildcats (9-9, 2-2) travel to Kingsland on Friday to play a doubleheader with Camden County (5-12-1, 3-4), with first pitch at 4:30.
