At age 60, longtime Richmond Hill resident and Army retiree, Brendan Vasher captured the overall title at the Hilton Head Island Quarter Marathon (6.55 mile distance).
Thirteen days later, Vasher placed third in his age group at the USA 15k (9.3 mile distance) National Championship in Jacksonville, Florida.
Additionally, Vasher garnered the top spot for the Endurance Race Series, Savannah, 2020 overall champion. Vasher also won the title in 2018, as a “young” 58 year old.
It’s worth noting the 15K National Championship had almost 7,000 participants and was the largest race in the U.S. since COVID. What’s more, Vasher has been on the podium for the 15K championship five consecutive years from 2017 to 2021.
