Three local teams are headed to the first round of the Georgia High School Association state basketball tournament, which gets under way Friday.

Two of them will be hosting.

The Bryan County High School Lady Redskins, the No. 2 seed from Region 2-AA, will play host to Butler, time to be announced.

The Richmond Hill High School Wildcats, winners of the Region 2-AAAAAA title, will play host to Morrow at 6 p.m. Saturday.

The Wildcats (23-4) were named region champs after a 60-45 win over Glynn Academy last week in Brunswick. 

The Richmond Hill girls, a No. 4 seed, travel to Lovejoy on Friday. Tipoff is at 5:30 p.m.
