The state event for baseball and boys' track and field took place this weekend. Look for full stories in Wednesday's paper, but here is the basic rundown:

- both RHHS & BCHS baseball seasons are over as both teams lost two straight state tourney games

- BCHS track state (20th overall): Willie Deloach 4th long jump; 4x100 relay team (Deloach, Ivey Mutcherson, Winston Johnson, Alex Cruz, Joe Jenkins & Deandre Walker) 7th

- RHHS track (17th overall): Shaquille Walker 2nd 800; David Cassidy 8th 1600 & 7th 3200
