Stacy Webb tourney is June 16 at Black Creek

The Stacy Webb Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament will be June 16 at Black Creek Golf Club. Scholarships are used to benefit the Calvary Day School Athletic Department and award scholarship money to one senior each year.

Webb was a freshman at Armstrong Atlantic State University, who earned a golf scholarship to play for AASU in the fall of 2004. He was born in Chatham County and moved to Bryan County at age 10, where participated in both counties’ recreational athletic programs. Webb, at age 18, was tragically killed in an automobile accident on Sept. 17, 2004. He attended Calvary Day School from the age of three months through graduation. From a very young age, Stacy was a true athlete, excelling in many athletic activities including basketball, soccer, football, baseball, cross country and golf.

Opportunities to donate include a corporate sponsorship of $400 or a hole sponsorship of $100. The cost is $80 per person to participate

Donations are also being accepted to fill "goody bags" for participating golfers
