Redskin golf tourney

The annual Redskin golf tournament is taking place April 5 at Black Creek Golf Course. The event is the main fundraiser in support of the BCHS athletic program, and participants and sponsors are needed in order to make the event a success. Proceeds will go toward equipment, uniforms and other needs of the high school sports teams. Over $1,000 in cash prizes can be won by participating golfers. The format is three man scramble and the entry fees are $240 per team or $80 per person. Baseball Camp

The 28th annual Robert Sapp Baseball Camp is accepting applications for its summer session to be held at the Richmond Hill Recreation Complex in Richmond Hill. The four-day camp is June 30 – July 3 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and is for boys ages 7-14. Six year olds may attend if they are skilled enough to play with the seven year old groups. The fee is $100 with team rates available.Former Middle Georgia College and University of Georgia head baseball Coach Robert Sapp will be the Camp Director. The camps will feature baseball fundamentals, game competitions, videos, motivational and instructional lectures and demonstrations. Upward soccer season

Richmond Hill First Baptist Church is enrolling now through April 5 for the Christian-based Upward soccer season. The Christian-based Upward program practices a rule of equal playing time for each participant and includes uniforms and end of season trophies. NCAA meeting

A NCAA Clearing House meeting for parents and kids will take place today at 3:45 p.m. in the RHHS cafeteria. The meeting is designed to prepare kids for college athletics. For further details, call Coach Brian Brocato at 271-8007.

 

Hendrix Park opens registration

Hendrix Park is now taking baseball, softball and tee ball registration Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bryan County Recreation Office. You can also register at any home basketball or soccer games at the concession stand. Baseball is $50 and tee ball is $35. Hendrix Park is also looking for people who are interested in becoming officials. A certification class is coming up soon. If interested, call 858-4640.

 

Wildcat Radio

The RHHS football program is in search of local sponsors for radio spots during local game coverage as RHHS games will be again be broadcast on 104.7 FM The Hawk next season. For further details, call Yvonne at 912-270-7727 or Coach Brian Brocato at 271-8007.
