Golf tournament

Cheer Savannah, which features many Bryan County girls, is having their first annual golf tournament on Oct. 1 at noon to benefit their booster club. It will be at the Greg Norman-designed Westbrook Country Club at Savannah Quarters. $100 per person with tons of prizes. Also looking for $100 hole sponsorship.

Swimming

The Georgia Coastal Aquatic Team (GCAT), a Richmond Hill aquatics program designed by former Olympic Bronze Medalist Bill Forrester, begins its short course season with an upcoming meet in Daytona, FL. GCAT practices at the Richmond Hill Swim Academy. Chris Cooper will be developing the program in Richmond Hill for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. To register for swim lessons call 756-7280.
