Fundraiser

The Richmond Hill golf team is having a fundraiser at Beef ‘O’ Brady’s tonight. Just dine at the restaurant after 4 p.m. and 15 percent of the food and drink sales will go the team. Call 756-4216 for more information.

 

Golf tourney

The second annual Richmond Hill Gridiron Association Golf Tournament is taking place on May 17 at the Crosswinds Golf Course in Savannah. This is the main fundraiser for the Wildcat football team. The Richmond Hill High School Home Run Club recently reported it made nearly $10,000 in support of the Wildcat baseball team from a recent golf tourney and Carrabba’s dinner event. The club is continuing to strive to help out the coaches and players. To get involved, call President Jeff Crowe at 756-8132.

Tennis

Richmond Hill Area Tennis Association invites junior tennis players to join their upcoming programs. The six week Saturday Program schedule is: April 12, 16, 19 May 3, 10, 17. The six week Sunday Program schedule is: April 13, 17, 20, May 4, 11, 18. They are also taking registration for tennis camps in May and June. Cost is $40 per camp. RHRA website

The RHRA has developed a new web site, www.RHRAsports.org. Check the site weekly for updates and new information. Throughout the season, the association will continue adding new information and making the site more useful. Baseball camp

The 28th annual Robert Sapp Baseball Camp is accepting applications for its summer session to be held at the Richmond Hill Recreation Complex in Richmond Hill. The four-day camp is June 30 – July 3 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and is for boys ages 7-14. Six year olds may attend if they are skilled enough to play with the seven year old groups. The fee is $100 with team rates available.Former Middle Georgia College and University of Georgia head baseball Coach Robert Sapp will be the Camp Director. The camps will feature baseball fundamentals, game competitions, videos, motivational and instructional lectures and demonstrations.
