Some might think Richmond Hill High School's 28th place finish at the state cross country meet would be a disappointment to coach Levi Sybert.
They'd be wrong.
“The meet went well," Sybert said. "Not their best of the year and not their worst. Just a solid day. It was tough for them to duplicate what they did at region two weeks in a row. This was not bad though. They fought hard to get there and now have the race experience and course knowledge to guide them toward a stronger finish next year.”
Sybert extended that appreciation to his entire team during their recent awards banquet.
After introducing his team to those in attendance, Sybert used a pair of graphs to highlight the steady improvement made by both the boys' and girls' teams through the season.
