The Savannah Six Pack, which features two players from Richmond Hill, placed fifth at the recent 3v3 nationals tournament in Orlando. They are Alley Simpson, Lindsey Vasher, Allana Kaplan, Randi Friess and Devon McCloskey.

Alley Simpson and Lindsey Vasher, both residents of Richmond Hill, led their soccer team, Savannah Six Pack, to an impressive fifth place finish at the 3v3 Challenge Soccer Nationals at Walt Disney’s Wide World of Sports Soccer Complex, July 27-29.

Playing in the rugged U14 Comp Division, they outscored their seven opponents 38-19, finishing the tournament with a magnificent six win and one loss record. Their only loss was a heart-breaking, 5-3 decision, to the eventual national champions, Orlando’s International United Soccer Krush in the quarterfinals. The three other members of Savannah Six Pack are Allana Kaplan and Randi Friess from Savannah and Devon McCloskey of St. Simons Island. The team is coached by Andy Kaplan and managed by Sandy Vasher.

At this same nationals tournament, Mohammad Mustafa’s U14 Richmond Hill Lady Raiders made it to the Sweet Sixteen and Adel Mustafa’s U14 Richmond Hill Raiders boys made it to the semifinals.

The Savannah Six Pack qualified for Nationals by winning the U14 Division of the Charleston Shoot-out in December and, playing up an age group, the U15 Division of the Golden Isle 3v3 Tournament July 14-15.

By placing fifth out of 33 teams, the Six Pack team is now eligible to compete in the 3v3 World Championship in January, in Florida.

Alley and Lindsey both starred on the 2007 Region Champion, Richmond Hill Middle School soccer team and are midfielders for their Coastal Georgia Soccer Association "A" level Athena soccer team.
