Members of the Elite Football League, the Richmond Hill Broncos, has left their namesake location and selected Port Wentworth as their new home.

This minor league football team will play their first game at Port Wentworth’s Mobley Park at 303 Armadale Road on Saturday March 23, at 6 pm. The community is invited to attend and welcome the Broncos to Port Wentworth as they play at Mobley Park.

“It is heartwarming that the Broncos have chosen to become a part of our community”, said Port Wentworth City Council member ArtLise Alston-Cone. “This is a team which is committed to helping young people perfect their craft and participate in football – a game that is loved by so many people across the nation.”

The Broncos’ mission is to provide a platform for young players built on discipline, structure, fairness, and opportunity for all. Its vision is to lead the way in amateur football across the nation by upholding a standard that will be hard to match.

“We are excited to bring more sporting and entertainment options to the growing number of families and residents who call Port Wentworth home,” said City Manager Steve Davis. “My son and I are dedicated football fans, so bringing this to our community is very special to me personally. We are also hoping to partner with the Broncos to bring summer camps for Port Wentworth’s young people”.
