The Richmond Hill High School girls’ soccer team remained unbeaten with back-to-back shutouts of teams from Effingham County.
The most recent win was a 7-0 shutout of South Effingham on Tuesday in Guyton. Nia Gordon and Grace Kiser each had three goals, and Sabria Marquez notched one goal for RHHS, which improved to 12-0 overall and 7-0 in Region 3-AAAAA.
Jasmine Marquez had two assists for RHHS while Casey Qua, Jaime Menhart and Tanner Boyle each recorded an assist.
Keeper Maria Cuevas had three saves in the net.
Friday, the Lady Wildcats whipped Effingham County 9-0 at RHHS. The Lady Wildcats got four goals from Gordon, while Jasmine Marquez added two scores and Boyle, Kiser and Hailey Rey each had a goal. Kiser also finished with three assists, Marquez had two and Qua recorded one.
Cuevas had three saves in the shutout win for RHHS, which hosts Statesboro on Friday.

Redskins fare well at home meet
Bryan County High School hosted Groves, Long County, Calvary Day School and Jenkins in a track-and-field meet Tuesday in Pembroke.
The Lady Redskins finished first in the girls’ competition, while the Redskins placed second behind Groves.

Wildcats pick up a win on diamond
Richmond Hill High School downed visiting Bradwell Institute 8-4 Monday in Region 3-AAAAA baseball action at Wildcat Field.
No stats were available. The win improved RHHS to 11-5 overall and 6-1 in 3-AAAAA.
The Wildcats were scheduled to play at BI on Wednesday. Results were unavailable at press time.
