About the races

• A late-model car is a car that has been recently designed or manufactured, often the latest model.
• A street stock is a “street” vehicle that can be bought by the public.
• Pure stock cars, for the most part, cannot be altered. The car must maintain the stock ride-height. The engine must be factory correct for the year, model and horsepower claimed.
• A mini stock is a smaller version of a street stock car.

Oglethorpe Speedway Park on Highway 80 in Pooler continues its summer season tonight with a variety of races, including a late-model special, street stocks, pure stocks, mini stocks and the 440s.
