Richmond Hill High School improved to 20-4 overall and 5-2 in Region 2-AAAAAA with a 60-48 win over Brunswick in a boys’ basketball game.

Sheldon Lewis and Liam Markgraf had 13 and 12 points, respectively, and Leighton Finley pulled down 13 rebounds for the Wildcats, who are a game behind the Pirates in the region standings.

In the girls’ game, RHHS (15-9) fell 41-27 to Brunswick. The Lady Wildcats (3-4) are fourth in the region.

Richmond Hill travels to Bradwell Institute on Friday night to wrap up the regular season.

Bryan County High School held off Woodville-Tompkins 61-57 in a girls’ Region 2-AA basketball game played in Pembroke.

The win improved the Lady Redskins to 20-4 overall and 13-2 in the region. Bryan County is ranked in the top 10 in most girls’ Class AA polls and is tied with Vidalia for the lead in the region standings.

Bryan County’s boys are 0-24 after falling to Woodville Tompkins.

Both teams finish out the regular season on Friday in Alma against Bacon County.
