Welcome to week 14 of the Pembroke Mafia Football League, that semi-regular roundup of local pigskin picking in which the only one of us who really knows what he’s doing isn’t even a he.
Nope. It’s Dawnne Greene, Richmond Hill city clerk and No. 1 Wicked Pissah PMFL picker.
She’s had a lock on first and probably will until the cows come home and land on my grill, though District 5 County Commissioner Dr. Gene “Lima Bean” Wallace had his best week ever last week and wanted his photo in the paper. (Look right).
Your’s truly, kaka the Human Muppet, took over last place for good with a four-miss week.
But at least my outhouse didn’t get stolen.
That’s big news up in Pembroke even though the outhouse was stolen in South Bryan. PMFL Groupie Director Mike Clark, the only one of us with groupies, suspects it was a job perpetrated by someone else in the PMFL, the rascal.
That means it allegedly was either Greene, Wallace, me, Pembroke City Administrator Alex Floyd, North Bryan Pine Tree mogul Bob Floyd, PMFL CEO B.J.Clark, Bryan County Administrator Ben Taylor, District 1 Commissioner Noah Covington, former Bryan County Assistant Editor Ted O’Neil, whose teams won and rivals lost last week, or the Rev. Lawrence Butler.
Stay tuned.
