Petermann named Region 2-AAAAAA volleyball Player of Year

Richmond Hill High School’s Mackenzie Petermann was named the Region 2-AAAAAA Player of  the Year by the region’s coaches, who also named Wildcats coach Valeri Kuhn the region’s top coach.

In all the Wildcats placed six players on the All-Region 2-AAAAAA team, including Petermann, Audrey Blaschke and Kaliegh Faldowski to the first team and Emily Bruning, Sekala Goodwin and Abbey Workman to the second team.

Richmond Hill finished 26-13 and advanced to the Elite 8 in the state Class AAAAAA volleyball tournament.

With the heat index in triple digits and the month of July fast approaching, it’s not too early to start thinking about football. At Bryan County High School, they’ve actually been thinking about football since last November 1 when the Redskins dropped a 21-8 decision to Metter and were eliminated from playoff contention.
