Richmond Hill’s Jalen Murray won the boys’ competition in the Hill on Wheels Fishy Invite cross country meet on Saturday at Sterling Creek Park.

State Class AAAAAAA powerhouse Milton High won just about everything else — earning both the boys’ and girls’ varsity team titles.

Murray ran the 5K in 15 minutes and 49.49 seconds, 26 seconds faster than second-place finisher Luke Bonneville of MilMurrayton.

Richmond Hill’s Leon Zeiger and Corey Adamski placed fourth, and eighth for the Wildcats, respectively.

Milton’s Nyah Hernandez won the girls 5K race with a time of 18:42.24. Richmond Hill junior Kayla Gholar was the Wildcats top finisher, placing sixth. Stella Pierre-Louis finished seventh as Richmond Hill’s teams finished second to Milton in both races during what Richmond Hill city officials billed as a coming out party of sorts for the park.
