Richmond Hill High School swept Brunswick in a pair of soccer matches Friday in Richmond Hill.
The Wildcats won 2-0 behind goals from Canon Rooker and Drew Gregerson to improve to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in Region 2A-AAAA. Sam Hulsey added an assist and Joel Heiser had two saves.
"We were a little flat, but overall played a decent game," RHHS boys' coach Robbie Flanders said. "We definitely controlled the possession of the game with plenty of shots. We just didn't finish on the opportunities that we had. We will definitely have to be better Tuesday when we face Glynn."
In the girls' game, the Lady Wildcats bounced back from a 2-0 loss to Wayne County by pummeling Brunswick 9-0. Sarah Goolsby, Kayla Taylor and Casey Qua had two goals each for Richmond Hill while Carly Mill, Bonnie Hollmen and Raechel Blitchington added scores.
Taylor had two assists. Goolsby, Blitchington, Emily Johnson, Lisa Bausum and Kaitlynn Martinson also registered assists for RHHS, which improved to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the subregion.
The teams played host to Glynn Academy on Tuesday night.
