Wildcats roll on homecoming

Richmond Hill High School made its 2012 homecoming one to remember by beating Groves High 39-0 on Friday night at Wildcat Stadium.

Senior running back David Katzman had 94 yards rushing and two touchdowns to lead the Wildcats, who also got two running TDs from junior quarterback/wide receiver Nick Fitzgerald and one from junior running back Ronnie Harris.

Kicker Canon Rooker added a 19-yard field goal for the Wildcats, who improve to 5-0 and 2-0 in Region 3-AAAAA.

Defensive back Ian Chandler had four tackles,and recovered a fumble to pace Richmond Hill’s defense, which posted its third shutout of the season. Defensive back TK Grisby had an interception, his second of the season.

Senior linebacker Zhane Roberts had five tackles while senior defensive end Zach Stegner, junior linebacker Nathan Soliata and senior defensive tackle Johnathon Thomas each added four tackles.

The Rebels play host to EffinghamCountynext.
