Wildcats grab first in 2A-AAAA

In baseball sometimes you win, sometimes you lose and sometimes it rains.
It rained out the Friday night game between the Wildcats and Ware County forcing a make-up game Monday afternoon and Richmond Hill won a come from behind victory, 5-4.
Ware County jumped out to a 3-0 lead, but ace Ryan Esenwein, who came in with the bases loaded in the first inning and gave up a pair of hits before striking out a batter to end the inning, settled down. He worked 5 2/3 innings and fanned seven Gator hitters, and allowed one more Ware run in the top of the fourth.
"Tonight we played defense, pitched well, and had some timely hits and that is why we were able to win, Richmond Hill coach Stacey Bennett said. "We were down 3-0 Friday also but one thing this team does really well is they don't let things bother them and they work through things."
