Timely hitting and a good relief effort on the mound gave Richmond Hill High School its first win of 2013, a 6-4 victory Friday over Pike County in Brunswick in the Baseball at the Beach tournament.

The Wildcats, who were one-hit on Monday in Statesboro, evened their record to 1-1. Richmond Hill trailed PikeCounty 3-0 before tying the game in the bottom of the third inning with three runs on three singles and an error.

After giving up the lead in the top of the fifth inning, the Wildcats came back again with three runs on two hits and a walk. A strong relief effort by Trey Shuman and Kyle Jamar made sure of the Wildcats win.

Dallas Daniel lead the team with two hits, an RBI and a run scored.

The Wildcats were scheduled to play Kell today.
