James Williams scored 16 points and Spencer Buck added nine as Richmond Hill High School beat Lakeside-Evans 51-40 on Tuesday night in the first round of the Region 2-AAAA basketball tourney.
The Wildcats (19-7) are the tourney hosts. They play top-seeded and sixth-ranked Effingham County on Thursday night at 8 p.m. The winner advances to the state Class AAAA playoffs.
