Warner Robins American bounced back from a Sunday loss to knock off Cartersville 14-0 in four innings on Monday in the Georgia Little League 10/11-year-old state championship tournament in Richmond Hill.

The win improved Warner Robinsto 1-1 in Pool 2 while Cartersville dropped to 0-2. In all,Warner Robins pounded out 19 hits. Corbet Luna had a first-inning home run and a base hit while Jacob Pierce, Cole Hooks and Bennett Wellman had three hits each. Russell Simmons and Blake King had two hits as well forWarner Robins. King, Wellman and Ben Gibbs combined to hold Cartersville to four hits.

In Monday’s other morning game, Toccoa improved to 2-1 in Pool 1 with a 7-3 win overSouth Fulton. Toccoa scored five runs in the third in the team’s come from behind win.

Kayden Maxwell picked up the win for Toccoa while Aaron Chappelear got the save.

Monday’s afternoon games include Athens(2-0) vs. Martinez Evans (0-1) in  Pool 1 andMidway Heights(0-2) vs. Columbus Northern (1-0).
