Three thousand points on floor tonight when RHHS girls take on BCHS girls

The 1,000-point club in local girls' basketball keeps getting bigger.
Weeks after Bryan County High School senior Satashala Beasley scored her 1,000th career point, teammate Tiffany Howard poured in 26 points in a loss to Claxton on Tuesday night to get her 1,000th point.
Beasley, a 5-foot-9 forward who is averaging 14.5 points, 11.6 rebounds and five assists a game, has already been honored for her achievement.
Howard will be feted Tuesday when Savannah Country Day comes to town.
More immediately, both face another 1,000 point scorer tonight in Richmond Hill High School's Aliyah Johnson. a Wofford signee who scored her 1,000th point last season as a junior.

All-Region picks for spring sports announced
RHHS Wildcats

Richmond Hill placed several players on their respective All-Region teams in Region 2-AAAAAA for tennis and soccer after all four teams made it to their respective state tournaments this spring.

In girls’ soccer, first-team selections were Grace Kiser, Ruthie Riley, Carly Vargas and Ellie Filamonczuk. Honorable mention went to Bella Martinez. Arianna Page and Lexi Merry.

For boys’ soccer, Joseph Petrino, Agboade Sobowale, Roman Alvarez, Trever Blitchington and Cristian Marquez made first team.

For girls’ tennis, Hannah Yontz, Megan Bausch and Stephanie Harter all made the second team at singles, as did the doubles team of Bailey Lopata and Caren Bausch.

For the boys, Jackson Martin was first team singles and Alec Shermer was second team singles. Zach Sewell received honorable mention.
