RHHS Wildcats

The Richmond Hill wrestling team defeated Alexander High School 37-26 in Macon Saturday afternoon to claim the Class AAAAAA team dual state title.

Picking up wins for the Wildcats in the finals were Kaleb Anderson (106 pounds), Michael Allen (113), Bailey Anderson (120), Jakeem Littles (152), Kevin Murry (182), Taylor Wilson (195), William Renshaw (220) and Skyler Aguilar (285).

"The kids came out hard in the preseason and deserve this championship," Richmond Hill Coach Bob Parker said. 

Parker said a lot of credit goes to his assistant coaches, Bill Evans, Jeff DelGrosso and Mark Foreman, for putting in the time and dedication with the team.

After winning the area dual title last weekend to qualify for the state tournament, the Wildcats beat Chattahoochee Thursday by a score of 67-9 in the opening round.

Richmond Hill dispatched Lee County 66-6 and Creekview 40-12 on Friday.

Alexander defeated the Wildcats at last year's state meet as Richmond Hill ended up third. 

Against Chattahoochee, winners for the Wildcats were: Kaleb Anderson (106), Michael Allen (113), Bailey Anderson (120), Brandon Langley (126), Rakeem Littles (132), Kamdyn Munro (138), William Evans (145), Jakeem Littles (152), Akeem Littles (160), Kevin Murry (182), Taylor Wilson (195) and William Renshaw (220).

Winners for Richmond Hill against Lee were: K. Anderson, Allen, B. Anderson, R. Littles, Munro, Evans, J. Littles, A. Littles, Charles Logan (170), Wilson, Renshaw and Aguilar.

In the semi-finals against Creekview, victorious Wildcats were: M. Allen, Anderson, Langley, R. Littles, Munro, Evans, A. Littles, Wilson, Renshaw and Aguilar. 

"I'd also like to thank the parents on the team and our principal and administration for their support," Parker added. "I'm just happy to be part of Richmond Hill High School wrestling."
