Effingham County got a double-double from star senior guard Makayla Robinson, and the Lady Rebels downed the visiting Richmond Hill Lady Wildcats 67-46 in a Region 3-AAAAA game Tuesday night.

Richmond Hill, 5-16 on the season, trailed just 18-12 after the first quarter before the Lady Rebels (14-8 overall, 7-4 region) outscored the Lady Wildcats 21-10 in the second period.
Robinson finished with 28 points and 13 rebounds. She also registered four assists and seven steals. Effingham came up with 17 steals on the night. Shaquira Johnson added 12 points, and Te’Shauna Johnson scored 10 in the win.

Richmond Hill forced 19 Lady Rebels turnovers.

The Lady Wildcats will play host to Bradwell Institute on Friday night for a 6:30 p.m. start. Richmond Hill will visit No. 6-ranked South Effingham on Tuesday in another Region 3-AAAAA contest.
