Prep soccer starting

The Richmond Hill soccer teams open the 2016 regular season Tuesday by hosting Glynn Academy.
The girls’ game is at 5 p.m., and the boys’ game is at 7. The Bryan County teams also play Tuesday. The Lady Redskins face St. Vincent’s at 5 p.m. in Savannah, and the Redskins follow by taking on Benedictine at 7 p.m.

Race for Presevation in Savannah Feb. 27

Registration is open for the Historic Savannah Foundation’s 10th annual Race for Preservation. The 5K and 10K routes pass through five historic districts. The race will take place at 8 a.m. Feb. 27, from the north end of Forsyth Park. Register online at or at Fleet Feet Sports Savannah through Feb. 26. Late registrations will be available during the packet pickup at Fleet Feet Sports Savannah from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 26.

ASU’s race has pirates, love

Armstrong State’s Physical Therapy Club will host its annual Pirate Road Race on Saturday.
The theme is “Love ’em or Leave ’em.” Runners are encouraged to wear Valentine’s Day or pirate-themed costumes. The best costumes and fastest times in each category win a prize.
The race starts at 8 a.m. in front of ASU’s Student Union, 11935 Abercorn St., Savannah.
