AASU must be filling pretty good about recent signees Ryan Esenwein and Nathan Ward after both Richmond Hill players played prominent roles in their season opening 13-3 win against Bryan County. Esenwein pitched five innings, giving up two hits and only one earned run and Ward hit a two-out grand slam to push the Wildcats lead to 10-3 in the third inning. Esenwein struck out eight and walked four in his complete game win. Ward finished 1-for-3 with four RBIs and three runs scored. Senior Hunter Hadley went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and freshman Jonah Reyes had two RBIs. RHHS plays Pierce County on Thursday before playing two games in St. Simons and Brunswick Friday and Saturday.
